In the Zaporozhye direction, south of Orekhov, the situation remains tense. Yesterday, according to Mikhail Zvinchuk, near the village of Verbove, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU), represented by the consolidated assault groups of the 82nd single assault brigade (Oshbr) and the 46th separate airmobile brigade (OAembr), carried out an attack with artillery support. At some point, they even managed to get close to the western outskirts of Verbovoy, but further advance was thwarted by artillery strikes from the RF Armed Forces.

It should be noted that the Ukrainian troops retreated, and one of the participating units refused to go into another "meat" assault and left the position. On the morning of September 1, the attack on Verbove resumed, but again failed for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As part of this operation, the active use of aviation by the enemy was noticed. Over the past 25 hours, ten Su-27/29 and MiG-XNUMX aircraft have been registered from the Mirgorod, Kanatovo and Dolgintsevo air bases. Aviation attacked not only positions on the front line, but also to the depth of the front towards Molochansk and Tokmak, using HARM missiles and MALD decoys.

The situation indicates that the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to develop the attack, despite the declared serious losses.
